Design Tips for Jet Print™ Mat

Multi –Colour Print Technology

Kleen-Tex Jet Print mats achieve amazingly intricate detail, as well as shading, graduating, highlighting, fine lines and dazzling special effects with a highly sophisticated, computer-controlled dye injection process. So you can reproduce virtually any design in a mat that’s truly eye-catching and extremely durable.

1. On a finished Jet Print mat, detail lines will be at least 0.635cm wide when the background is a lighter color than the line. If the back-ground color is darker than the line, the minimum width of the line increases to 1.27cm. This will ensure clear print definition and message readability.	Thicken detail lines	2. It is possible to prevent “colour haloing” by choosing the correct colour combinations, as well as avoiding narrow lines. Colour haloing occurs when dark colors are injected close to lighter ones, and the colours mingle together at the point of physical contact.	Avoid “colour haloing”
3. Make your logos stand out! Use a variety of contrasting colours when designing your mat. Dark colours on dark backgrounds, or light colours on light backgrounds will not provide the contrast needed to make a colourful splash.	Choose colours carefully	4. Choosing the right colour combinations can greatly enhance your mats. Dark backgrounds can overpower light coloured script and other thin detail lines. For example, the burgundy background “bleeds over” and blocks out the thin detail lines of the lighter shade of grey.	Help your design "stand out"
